The Group meets every Tuesday, from 8.30 am to 2.30 pm, at the Newport Railway Workshops Clocktower Building, Champion Road, Newport. Enter off Champion Road via the Gate at the Brick Watertower, or via Shea Street.
About Us
Our current project is the restoration of the VicTrack owned Newport Railway Workshops Clocktower Building (1888) for use by Steamrail Victoria for administration offices and public events. The building is on the State Heritage Register and we operate under strict guidelines set by Heritage Victoria.

Truganina Explosives Reserve
Altona (Hobsons Bay City Council): June 2015 – September 2022. Restoration of two residences, stables and other outbuildings.
Hobsons Bay Arts Society
February – March 2022, Construction of 15 FLAGs (Free Little Art Galleries) for use by community groups and libraries.
Seaworks Williamstown
March – April 2022, Restoration of Gellibrand Light.
